About Connect Merge

Connect Merge is a number puzzle that sits between two well-known games: the chain matching of match 3 and the doubling numbers of 2048. The board is full of coloured tiles with numbers on them, and every tile with the same number shares the same colour, so you can match by eye even before you read the value.

How to play

Drag a line through neighbouring tiles that show the same number. When you let go, they merge into one tile worth double the value: two 4s make an 8, and so on. You are not limited to pairs. Link a longer chain and the new tile gets an even bigger boost. The new number then needs partners of its own, so every merge sets up the next one. Reach the level goal and keep your score climbing.

• Connect tiles: click and drag with the mouse

Tips

• Build long chains instead of quick pairs. Bigger merges clear more space.
• Think about where the merged tile will land. You want it next to its future partners.
