About Drifty Race
Drifty Race is an arcade racing game where the corners matter more than the straights. Instead of braking hard before every bend, you throw the car sideways and drift through it, keeping your speed for the next part of the track. It is quick to start and easy to understand, but getting a clean drift through every turn takes practice.
How to play
Race around the track and reach the finish line first. Approach each corner, start your drift early and hold the slide until the car points down the next straight. Drift too late and you hit the barrier. Drift too early and you lose speed cutting the corner. A good run is a chain of smooth slides from start to finish.
Tips
- Start each drift slightly before the corner, not in the middle of it.
- Look ahead to the next bend while you are still sliding through this one.
- Hitting walls costs much more time than a cautious line. Smooth is fast.
