PacXon New Realms is the long-awaited follow-up to PacXon Deluxe, a much-loved arcade game first released back in 2007. It keeps the simple, gripping idea of claiming space on a board while dodging enemies, and wraps it in a fresh look with charming retro pixel art, a new interface and brand-new music.

This sequel is packed with content: 192 levels spread across four distinct locations, each with its own style and its own set of challenges.

How to play

You start at the edge of an empty field. Move out into the open space and you leave a trail behind you. Bring that trail back to a solid edge to close it off, and the area you surrounded becomes yours. Keep slicing off sections until you own at least four fifths of the board, shown by the bar at the top of the screen, and the level is won.

The danger comes from ghostly enemies drifting around the field. If one of them hits your trail before it is complete, a life is lost. Every enemy moves in its own pattern, so watching them closely is the key to choosing a safe moment to dash out.

Features

Along with the huge level count, the game offers four to six unlockable character skins for every location, giving you plenty to collect. Sweet treats appear on the field as power-ups, each granting a short special boost. The updated presentation brings back the nostalgic feel of classic arcades while looking sharp and modern.

Tips and tricks

Start with small, quick grabs near the edges instead of long, risky trips across the middle. Short trails are finished faster, which gives enemies less time to reach them. As the open space shrinks, enemies get squeezed into smaller areas, making them easier to predict.

Try to box enemies into a tiny pocket so they can no longer roam the board. Grab power-up treats when they are close and safe, but do not chase them into danger.
