About Real Chess Online
Real Chess Online is a full chess game you can set up exactly the way you like. Practise against a computer opponent or play a friend on the same device, and switch between a classic 2D board and a 3D view at any time during the game.
Ways to customise
- Player: choose your name and pick from more than 200 country flags.
- Look: three piece colours, two piece designs, two board variants and three board styles.
- One player: set the difficulty of the AI to match your level.
- Two players: set the time per move, increments and total time for each player, just like a real chess clock.
How to play
The standard rules of chess apply. Move your pieces to put the opposing king in checkmate, where it is attacked and has no safe square to escape to. Tap a piece, then tap the square you want to move it to.
Tips
- Control the centre of the board early with pawns and knights.
- Castle in the first ten moves to keep your king safe.
- Before every move, check what your opponent's last move threatens.
