About SOS: Cozy Tea Time

Remember filling a grid with letters on the back of a notebook? SOS: Cozy Tea Time brings that old pencil and paper strategy game to a warm 3D wooden table, lit by candles while soft rain falls outside. You face the computer, and the two of you take turns writing an S or an O.

How to play

First pick a letter, then place it on any empty square. Whenever your move completes S-O-S in a row, a column or a diagonal, you earn 1 point and get to move again right away. The game ends when no squares are left, and whoever built the most SOS lines is the winner.

Controls

Desktop: choose S or O with the buttons along the bottom and click a square. The S and O keys select a letter, Space swaps between them and V flips between 3D and 2D. Drag to turn the table and scroll to zoom in or out.

Mobile: tap a letter, then tap a square. When the phone is turned sideways, the letter buttons sit at the side of the screen.

Features

Pick Easy, Medium or Hard, and set the board anywhere from 6x6 up to 12x12. A Hint button is there when you are unsure, and the game supports 17 languages.

Tips

Be careful about gaps like S _ S or S O _ on the board, because they hand your opponent an easy point and an extra turn.
